The society GEM awards a thesis prize that amounts  € 1,500 to reward a young researcher who has done a remarkable thesis work in the field of biomembranes. This work may relate to different aspects, biological and/or biophysical and may present basic or applied facets. The prize is awarded at every GEM conference in a session dedicated to "Thesis Awards" during which the recipient is invited to present his work as a mini conference of about fifteen minutes


Details of allocation and eligibility requirements:
To be eligible, the thesis must have been defended in the two years preceding the award. It must have been carried in a French laboratory. It may be written in French or in English.


After closure of the call, the Scientific Council will meet to consider the nominations and the winner will be designated by an absolute majority using a secret ballot.

The winner must be a current member of GEM (must have paid the membership fees) at the time of the award ceremony.
