Overview of ITSR Workshop
Following the success of the three previous workshops held in Hefei in 2008, Sanya in 2009 and Suzhou in 2010, the 4th International Workshop on Imaging Techniques with Synchrotron Radiation (ITSR2011) will be held in Bordeaux, one of the most famous city in the world for wine production. Bordeaux, close to the Atlantic coast, is also well known for its classification at Unesco World Heritage for its 18th century's architectural ensemble as an outstanding example of classical and neo-classical trends giving it an exceptional urban unity and coherence.
Based on oral contributions and thematic roundtables, this new edition of the workshop is thought to promote interdisciplinary cooperation's on imaging methods and trigger new applications. It will be a great opportunity to join world wide recognized experts on imaging providing the opportunity for discussions and networking. The meeting will be organized with sessions devoted to theory, software and experimental methods. Special attention will be devoted to new imaging methods and in particular, to cell imaging, i.e., to large field of view and high contrast imaging methods for cell imaging. The main goal is to build a large cooperation network, and introduce in the scientific arena new imaging concepts and methods.
Practical Bordeaux: tourism, tramway, bus n.1 from airport + bus n.34 to IBIS hotel, bus n.10 from train station + bus n.36 to IBIS hotel.
The easiest way to reach the hotel from airport is to get the bus n.1 at airport to "Merignac Soleil" and change with bus n.34 from same location to "Gutenberg", which is 50 m from hotel IBIS in Pessac. You should reach the hotel in 45 minutes.
The easiest way to reach the hotel from Bordeaux' train station is to get the bus n.10 (direction "Beausoleil" to "Rochefort", and change with bus n.36 from same location (direction "Pessac Gare") to "Archimede or Gutenberg", which are both 100 m from IBIS hotel in Pessac.
